Leaders on our Journey

Dear Friends,

Building on the legacy of service provided by over five generations of Catholics in Sioux City and honoring their traditions of faith are the goals of the "So Generations Might Know" Campaign.

Thank you for your prayers, encouragement and help in fulfilling our important responsibility to our Catholic community. You have lead the way, you have modeled our values, and you have proven the priceless value of Catholic education.

Please reflect on the gifts that the Lord has shared with you and your family and join us as we embrace our future. With us all sacrificing together, we will ensure we reach our goals, financially and otherwise.

It is with much excitement and enthusiasm that we ask for your investment in our future. The information provided within the case statement outlines our capital campaign goals and the plans of how we will strengthen our commitment to our mission in Christ.

Sharing your gifts of time, talent, and treasure will teach our children that sacrifice, courage, and faith are the foundation that will allow our schools to continue their dedicated service for generations to come. I invite you to join us in this unique opportunity and ask that you prayerfully consider a gift to this three-year effort. Thank you for your generosity.

Sincerely,

Jim Rouse
Superintendent

Dear Friends in Christ,

I write to you about the gifts of stewardship we are to bring in a special Campaign of the Diocese of Sioux City to mark our Centennial and the Campaign for the Catholic Schools of Sioux City. When we read the history of our diocese and hear stories and accounts of our past, we are astonished by the courage, faith and sheer daring of our Catholic ancestors.

Many of them, like Moses, had to look from afar to see a promise being fulfilled, but not yet. The seed of faith they planted has borne fruit. We are that fruit. But we too, must not be negligent in providing for the growth of the faith present and future.

I appeal to you as stewards, as Magi who come to Christ with your own gifts and talents, to respond as such in the celebration of this campaign. I am surely aware of the many challenges we all face with many competing and worthy interests calling for our response and stewardship.

I thank you in advance for your generosity even as I recall your wonderful responses in faith to the Church throughout the past 100 years. I even trust that our practical campaign will help us see more deeply into a new epiphany of stewardship.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Reverend Daniel N. DiNardo
Bishop of Sioux City
