Welcome to Holy Cross School!  My name is Michael Sweeney and I feel very fortunate to be the principal of the K-8 students at Holy Cross School.  Holy Cross has two Centers:  St. Michael Center (grades K-2) and Blessed Sacrament Center (grades 3-8). 

I am proud to be a graduate of Blessed Sacrament, Bishop Heelan High School and Briar Cliff University.  I have been privileged to work at Danbury Catholic School, Maple Valley High School, Heelan High School and Mater Dei School. 

 First of all I would like to thank our parents for believing in Catholic Education.  The Catholic Schools of Sioux City strive to infuse the Gospel Values of our faith into all areas of the curriculum.  We begin the day and end the day with student led prayer. There is a strong tradition of spiritual formation and academic achievement by our students as they progress from elementary school, middle school and high school!  I would like to thank you for believing in Catholic Education in Sioux City.
